Sara Pearson

Sara Pearson’s work is in a sense, a visual autoethnography meant to flesh out her early curiosity at how gemstones in their terrestrial yet otherworldly nature, are beyond imaginative invention. Her paintings, drawings and sculptural works magnify the astonishing, miniature worlds of refracted light and colour contained within gemstones, and are intended to leave the viewer with questions regarding our relationship with these ancient objects, their meaning to us and value in our lives.
