Martine Bertrand is a multidisciplinary artist who has mostly been working on stage costume design for the past 25 years. Her creations have been seen and celebrated in the most prestigious opera houses around the world. TEATRO ALLA SCALA in Milan, OPERA NATIONAL de PARIS, STUTTGART OPERA, NORWAY OPERA, MUNICH OPERA, … Recently, she designed the 250 costumes of the ballet adaptation of the life of SIR ELTON JOHN in LOVE, LIES, BLEEDING presented by the Alberta Ballet.
In 2011, her drawings for the film CAFE de FLORE directed by Canadian film maker Jean-Marc Vallee have been published in a book about the making of of the film. In March 2013, Martine Bertrand was asked to illustrate the cover of the historical book “LE REVEIL DE LA BETE” written by Johanne Pothier on VLB.
